The Celia Lipton Farris and Victor W. Farris Foundation seeks to support projects that provide the structure, encouragement, and incentive that enable people to help themselves lead more successful, inspired and fulfilling lives. The Trustees are particularly interested in funding projects that stimulate innovation, support families, and can demonstrate a sustainable impact on participants.
In making difficult choices among many public needs, the Trustees are committed to exercising their common values. These include responsibility, innovation, integrity, competence, commitment to family, respect for personal growth and equality of opportunity.
The Foundation focuses its funding in support of projects, scholarships, and research. Grant sizes vary in relevance to the size of the project and the organizational budgets of applicants. On a case-by-case basis, multi-year funding may be considered. Grants typically range in size from $50,000 to $250,000, with occasional larger grants and some smaller grants for special initiatives.
The Foundation does not typically support capital campaigns or sponsor fundraising events.
Geographic Focus of Interest to the Foundation
While particularly interested in supporting projects focused on Palm Beach County, Florida, the Foundation will support projects focused on other regions of interest to the Trustees. These regions are likely to include Northern New Jersey and the Buffalo, New York area, as both of these regions were important to Mr. and Mrs. Farris.
